description: What Rounds reads and what it sends.
---

Rounds sends nothing anywhere. It has no account, no analytics and no network calls of its own.

## What it reads

- Local files: the session files of Claude desktop, the Codex threads, and the hook state that its own helper writes.
- herdr's local socket.

All reads are on your Mac. Rounds does not change your session files.

## What it writes

- Its own hook state and settings.
- Hook entries in the Claude Code and Codex settings, only when you click Install Hooks. It shows a preview first and keeps a backup.

## Bug reports

Report a Bug opens a prefilled GitHub page in your browser. It has version numbers only. You decide whether to send it.
